Introduction and background
Gender based violence is one of the most common yet unacknowledged and serious human rights violations in Zimbabwe. The Domestic Violence Act provides protection for survivors of all forms of gender violence. Reliable and comprehensive quantitative data on GBV is difficult to obtain.
